"We found the home to be a very nice size with ample room for us. The recent upgrades and renovations were very well done. We did have a bit of difficulty navigating the one way streets for the parking situation. Parking lot across the street was close and free during our stay which was very good. Parking nearly by on the street would have been a challenge. The property was in an area urban renewal. Was well within an easy walk to the High Street. "

There is easy access to park your car and enter the property . With lots of places of interest within a short drive it’s in an ideal location for exploring the borders . "I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...

"Basic accommodation with some nice homely touches. Unfortunately, biggest issue for us were the external stairs up to the front door and also internal stairs to bedrooms. My 76yo mother uses a walking stick and I was temporarily on crutches too so we both struggled. Getting up the narrow outside steps in the dark with no lighting was quite precarious. "Fantastic property. 16 of us for a family birthday. Lots of different spaces so we werent on top of each other all the time. The teens really enjoyed the games room. It was also great having all of us round the huge dining table. Location is ideal so we walked in to Galashiels and also in to tweedbank , no need to get in the car. "
