"We stayed for six weeks in this beautiful mountainside property. It was exactly what we wanted - restful and relaxing. The property is at the top of a steep hill and is somewhat isolated so a car is required. We did not intend to travel around very much and were happy to take up Vera's offer to rent their car now and again. It worked very well for us. "It's a nice house about halfway up one of the mountain roads, but contrary to what you might expect, it isn't really secluded. There are plenty of neighbors and their dogs all around. Overall, it's a fantastic house for the price, and can hold 5-6 people comfortably. The view is fantastic! "Great property. This is an old, rambling house set like a grand matron in a beautiful park-like setting. The house is 'venerable', and in need of updates and cleaning. But it's rustic and open to nature. It's huge with 5 different bedrooms and lots of beds. About an hour away from SJ Airport, and downtown SJ, and some sites. But 3 or more hours away from major attractions. So great for large family/friends get togethers, but not necessarily for CR's touristy hot spots."

"Came to Turrialba for the Canyons- but fell in love with this place. The deck was incredible, great place for mornings- watching the Tucan, watching the clouds roll by all from a comfy chair. The hot tub was a rare novelty. I spent time in other cities in CR, but this place is incredible. Absolutely will be back!"

This apartamento is on the 3rd floor and is in a very quiet neighborhood at the edge of the Zapote district. We had full access to the rooftop deck on the 15th floor where we did our yoga each morning. The security staff at the front desk were great and this is fully staffed 24hrs. a day. Some directional signs at the entrance of the neighborhood and on the gate would be helpful to find the house and some solar lights to illumunate the path from the gate to the front door would be very helpful for after dusk arrivals. "The host was wonderful and even brought us a fruit welcome. The home is great and bedrooms are set to either side of spacious common area, full kitchen, and an amazing deck that looks out over the town and volcano. We had an incredible stay!"
