"We stayed at Hotel Residenza Veneziana on May 16th, 2024 and had such amazing experiences. The hotel is located at a very convenient location right on a quiet small canal, within walking distance to everything. We arrived to the apartment after parking outside the city, taking our three young children and luggage across Venice by water taxi and by foot — only to find out THEY HAD RENTED TO SOMEONE ELSE. They had no options and left my family out on the street to figure it out. Do not book. Lowest possible recommendation. "

"Saving grace is the breakfast served right on time and location is really close to San Marco square but otherwise, the building is really old, the bed is unstable and at one point, I saw an insect (cockroach?) crawling on the floor. At $200/night, I expected at least a well lit room with a good mattress/bed. I wish I took pictures of the real state of the room vs the one shown online. "

"We got a nice upgrade to a family suite that was very comfortable. The WiFi worked well on the 3rd floor; he had installed a repeater. There was TV, but we didn’t speak Italian so we didn’t watch. The bathroom was a little small, but at least it was an ensuite. It was an easy walk to the vaporetto stop on the north as well as the south side of Venice. Nicola was very friendly and helpful and available whenever we needed him. It is a very nice property. Venice is a city of lots of walking!"

"This is perhaps the worst hotel experience ever. First of all, this is not even a hotel or hostel or a b&b. It is simply a flat where the owner himself (a rather old italian man) lives and rents out two spare rooms. No website bears an indication of this! In real life the flat looks nothing like the pictures. The rooms dont lock, or better to say the man does not give you the key to lock your room. The bathroom is shared.
