"Great place to stay. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was really powerful and could be adjusted to however hot you preferred. Food in the pub was excellent too. I've just booked to go again in a couple of weeks :-)"

"We stayed here as it was convenient for a local wedding. We paid for an early check-in and the room was ready when we arrived. The room was de-luxe and comfortable. the staff were very friendly and courteous. Breakfast provided a good choice, was leisurely, wholesome and tasty. Our only downside was the road noise which is not really surprising for a Coaching Inn from tudor times and earlier"

"Great service from arrival to departure, all the staff were polite and helpful. Room was spotless and spacious, the bathrobes and slippers were a nice touch. We ate in the restaurant and the food and service was very good. The breakfast was continental style with lots of choice. Would we return?......yes we would."

"I like its history and the Staff are excellent. I disliked: a) Wasting so much milk. I only needed a small spoonful. b) Morning shower.......the water was tepid at the most despite the fact that I reported it and was assured it would be better next day. c) Noisy, especially on Friday night. I could feel the bedroom floor vibrating. d) I found the dinner menu very limited after the first evening. "

"Stopped overnight enroute to LeShuttle, very convenient just off the M20, in a village. Room spacious and comfy, with good quality tea/coffee. Enjoyed a tasty meal downstairs in the restaurant. In the room you could hear the people in the restaurant talking, but it was silent after 10pm (and they do provide earplugs if needed). "Very friendly place, very busy in bar area but accommodation separate (& quiet 😊👍)… enjoyed looking round the bar area after breakfast next day, lots of interesting items/photos etc and nice to be away from the ‘corporate’ feel that most hotels seem to have these days. I’m sure we’ll be back."

"We really enjoyed our stay here. Host was excellent: knowledgeable and welcoming. Location was good, secluded enough but easy to get to all areas of the island. Food selection in kitchen was fab and available 24/7, never had that at a b&b before. Room comfortable and internet readily available too. "
