"Excellent location, tucked behind the Fitzwilliam Museum and next to the river. It's worth paying a little extra for a river view - the rooms facing the other way look onto the backs of old buildings, which isn't unpleasant, but the river view is lovely. "Check in for our one night stay was very quick and efficient and the receptionist kindly offered us some free drinks from the bar as we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We accepted these and took them later after we had eaten dinner. We would have stayed longer in the bar had it not shut disappointingly early at around 11pm. The service was good though. The room was very clean and comfortable and at a nice temperature - although the air con was rather noisy - and the bathroom clean but...
