"The staff are very friendly, helpful and accommodating, nothing was a problem. The hotel gardens and grounds are beautifully kept. Our room was stunning, with a lovely outlook. We felt very comfortable and happy with our stay. The hotel shuttle into town was great, although we walked most of the time alone the back street along the river, taking only 15mins. "Great hotel, quite remote but quite nice to relax and for some down time. Shared pool which was very quiet, unfortunately when it was cloudy they decided to clean it so it only got to use one day, no issues really. Our room was really nice, the air conditioning unit was broken/dripping like crazy, they gave us a towel to stop the flooding but the noise of the dripping was slightly annoying. Overall, I would definitely stay here again."

"Free room upgrade was much appreciated. The breakfast buffet on the first morning was great with many food choices. There was no buffet on the second morning due to lacking of guests. Mosquitoes were in the room on the first night. The staff were very welcoming and friendly."

"The Fig Tree is in the perfect location if you like a home away from home feel. Our room was large and the bed extremely comfortable. The family that run the Fig Tree are so friendly happy and so helpful. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful and all made on site to your preference. It is only a 30 minute walk to the old town markets you can also use the bikes available if you choose. This is our second stay at the Fig Tree and will returning again in May 2025."
