"Seven of our family members stayed 8 nights. The location was perfect for a quick walk to grocery store, bakery (every day!) and a variety of restaurants. We walked to the Royal Palace, Cathedral, Grand Via, Plaza Mayor and the World’s Oldest Restaurant Sobrino de Botin (Guinness World Records). A 20 minute Uber ride took us to the train for a 40 minute ride to a day in Toledo. We all were very happy to return to “our apartment” to rest for dinner and evening strolls. Beautifully decorated apartment, with lovely artwork pieces including images of swirling Dervishes, tapestries, vases… A selection of great books from James Baldwin to Amin Maalouf, art books on Madrid architecture, Goya’s paintings… very comfortable bedroom, and so on. "Jose, the manager of this property, was great. Called him on the way to the flat from the airport. It was early in the day so he directed the taxi driver to his house, so we could store our luggage. Turns out his place is only 50 meters from our booked rental. The flat was ready in a couple of hours and we were quickly situated. The location is unbelievably perfect. "The cosy, but well apointed flat was perfect for my wife , adult son and I on a short stay in Madrid. It was a great location for walking to all areas of interest. We arrived by train and left for the airport via the direct bus, both easy to do. There are plenty of local eating options which were full of locals. The owner gave us a useful rundown of some of them as well as the location of the main attractions"
