"This is a residential area. I didnt see any shops or places to eat nearby. However very close to train station. You need to check in with an emailed code. Room was fine and large. A very nice breakfast was included at the sister hotel a few doors down which was really good. Overall recommended but my big tip is dont expect nearby shops or places to eat. Is nice and quiet area. "We had the most wonderful stay. It was exquisite. Unbelievable how perfectly it has been preserved with 14th century stained glass and a view from a fairytale. We were welcomed warmly by David who is a gifted artist and the breakfast was fine dining. We couldn’t have wished for a more perfect stay and we’re grateful he shared his gorgeous home. "Brilliant stay at this B&B as a family including our baby. We had plenty of space in our room and even had a smaller room joining in which we kept our luggage and our travel cot when our baby napped. The host was lovely and so helpful. "I was not expecting a code-style reception at "A Flemish Tale. To me, an in-person reception check-in is essential for a traveler overseas like me. Thankfully, I was waiting downstairs at least 2 hours before my "check-in time" at 3:00 p.m., so that I was able to meet, totally by chance, the lady in charge at the entrance. But for this, I would not have been able to get my access code. Imagine how scary it was! "

"We stayed with 2 families to enjoy Brugge and the beach. The house is very pretty, lots of style and very roomy. Love the sunroom to hang out and talk/play games. Everything was super clean and all amenities where there to cook a good meal. Location to the beach is super easy, Bredene is a very small town but has all you need and Oostende is a short distance away."
