"Good facilities, good size for 6 people supermarket 5 minute walk away. Spa and pool excellent the kids loved it, well equipped kitchen. The only problem was the smoke detectors are very sensitive, there's one on the bathroom which was triggered by steam from the shower and one was set off by spray deodorant, so security show up and say there's a problem and you have to open the balcony door, not ideal in winter. Overall a good stay."

"We had a nice stay , the location was perfect, very close to canals, markets. A 10 min walk to tram 1 or 3 takes you to the station. It says it’s 1st floor, but it’s up a flight. It’s huge space, comfy bed. Only negative was not enough TP , towels not enough for 4 days, and no internet. I did chat with support, no issues were resolved. But it didn’t hamper our stay"

"Very impressed with the facilities. Was a great room to come back to after long days of exploring the area around wider Belgium and Netherlands. Definitely coming back to have a more slower relaxed stay, to explore more the local area and the beach during summer. "

"We spent a few days at Joost appartement and had a good time in DeHaan.The apartment is as described: spacious, well equipped (especially the kitchen, if you like to cook...) near the promenade, beach and Sea.Joost was always in contact with us and very supportive. Thanks again!"

"No towels… must rent them. No hand soap in bathroom or kitchen. Bed is not made must make it yourself. Dead bugs on floor. Hallway area was run down and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We paid extra for an ocean view room and did have a great view and overall felt relatively safe. "

"The apartment on the 4th floor was as we expected. The living room is located to the sea site and the view from the sofa to the sea is tremendous. We spend a week with our little dog in the apartment and he especially enjoyed the balcony which goes around the entire apartment. Even from the sleeping room you can see the sea. "This property was clean as you would expect from a new build. We found that is was too small for a couple, and in my opinion this was not a studio but a very small room with very small kitchen. No where to relax after a long apart from a bed and a dinning chair. We have stayed at the apartment round the side of the arches and that is where we thought we had booked again as this apartment was excellent."

"Location excellent as very near centre. Would have been good to know about the 6 flights of stairs in the property description. A number of minor issues which we notified straight away - to be fair we asked for nobody to fix them while we were there but I took photos on arrival so we wouldn't be accused of anything."

"I originally had a different hotel booked but changed to this one at the last minute since it was closer to the city center and I read another review saying how it was very close to a parking garage. It ended up being ideally located, especially its proximity to the parking garage. "Dukes palace is an amazing location. Really central and super convenient. The hotel itself is a stunning building but with a real modern feel. First time staying and loved every second. Only one minor thing was the location of plug points near a mirror and not having one which could be used for my partner Straigteners. Very minor but essential. Will definitely be returning 😀😀😀 "

"Superior room was worth the extra cost, compared to standard rooms that we saw. Breakfast was very good and the service was very efficient and friendly. Our room faced the road and traffic was noticeable early in the morning. Our bathroom had an unpleasant drain smell which we informed the Reception of, but it was not resolved unfortunately."

"Thank you to the hotel staff for my stay with my parents there. The front desk was always ready to help and attentive which is great when you are a tourist. It is a clean hotel , even that doesn’t have an elevator the front desk helped me with my luggage . Thank you for our stay and is well recommended . "

Christmas Markets

"We stayed at this hotel when we were visiting the Christmas Market. The location was excellent. A short walk to the main market and lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It was quiet and well appointed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had a small issue with the drain in our bathroom and the had it sorted right away. Would definitely stay with them again. "
