"Came for one night with my 2 young sons. For a bit of fun and to use the pool. Gorgeous surroundings. The pool was lovely and Clean. Our Room had a double bed a single bed plus a pull out bed. The main beds were really comfy. The pull out not so much. Room was great for us. There was the odd mark on the carpets etc but not a problem for us. Hotel allows dogs for an extra free. We heard a bit of woofing from the next room but that stopped before bedtime. Room service was easy to order through...

"The staff were so lovely it was my son’s birthday and when we got there they had balloons and a card for him in the room. The sausage sandwiches the next day were lovely and came In a little bag with orange juice and a muffin. The restaurant right next door was lovely has a singer on and the kids got to make their own pizza. The rooms were really modern and beds comfortable and room was clean. "A beautiful historic building that’s kept its authenticity. Many hotels like this usually undergo a renovation and paint everything 50 shades. This building creaks, has squeaky floorboards which adds to its character. The walls are paper thin however and you can hear EVERYTHING that goes on next door. The shower was unpredictable but it’s what I would expect for a room with such a good rate. Don’t expect luxurious rooms and the grounds are manicured. A typical wedding venue. I’d be happy to...
