"This hotel was a lovely place to stay. Tucked away in a quiet location within its own grounds, yet close to the centre of Fleet. There was a warm, cosy atmosphere and the staff were very helpful. Both the bar menu and the restaurant menu were good value, nicely presented and very tasty. Our room was equipped with all the necessary supplies and the bed was very comfortable. The only slight disappointment was that we could hear snoring from the neighbouring room. However that did not disturb us...

The only downsides were the travel iron (not great) and heating. The pub is right next door presenting a good option but food wasn’t great and male server not that helpful. Also annoying to ask for tip when I have to order for the food at the bar ahead of eating it. "

Photographed here looking upstream and back towards Maidenhead from the Causeway footbridge it is now a quiet backwater.
