"The hotel is situated perfectly to walk around Bowness. It was really clean and our room whilst elements are older / a bit dated, looked like had not long been redecorated so felt lovely. Breakfast was brought to your table, with a view of the lakes. Can’t fault it. Would go again. "

"Brilliant vacation stay. Only issue was we had to request a change of sheets but sorted quickly. The lodge was on the lake and beautiful to sit outside. Will go again. Staff were brilliant "

"We stayed here because it was Dog friendly. Overall, I would say we had an excellent stay. The hotel is true to its description of Dog friendly, although tou can’t eat in the restaurant with them (which is reasonable). There were a lot of families with dogs and they were made very welcome. The bar was also child friendly with toys and games available. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was that one of us is a vegetarian and there were no items available from the tapas menu, which was disappointing and reduced the options available. "
