"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was large and spotlessly clean, with an incredibly comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent, very good quality food and served in a friendly manner. It was also great to have the guests lounge which we used several times. We were given all the relevant information for check in and found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. I would have no hesitation in recommending Holly Lodge and would definitely stay again if we are in the area."

"I had an excellent stay at Ellerbrook House. It’s conveniently located a block away from the Windermere High Street. I was able to walk into town every night with a great choice of local cafes, restaurants and pubs. My room was fantastic. To my surprise I had what looks like a new but very large bed. My room was completely renovated. New bathroom fittings good water pressure. I was on the top floor and found it very quiet at night and it was well heated. My room was made up every day...

"Great place to stay! We had a lovely break and stayed here for New Years, the location is amazing (10 min walk to the main Bowness area) and the service by the team was exceptional. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to the lakes. "

"Great stay and a super friendly and helpful owner. Breakfast is pre-ordered on a tablet when you arrive, unfortunately the tablet wasn't charged up but that is no big deal and the breakfast was very good!!"

"Really well thought out. The attention to detail was standout as it was not over the top and gave a feel of luxurious comfort. The breakfast was outstanding. So good to have a small dining are inside the room. Breakfast arrived on a little trolly and the choice and quality was exceptional. Positioned between the two centres so it was easy to walk around both."

"We had a wonderful stay at 1 Park Road in September, having stayed here now for many years. Hilton is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is beautiful with allergens catered for with prior notice. Such a relaxing time in the lovely bright dining room. The room is lovely, very stylish and with a very comfortable king size bed. Bathroom and tea making facilities are great too. "Mike and Lynn run a first-class professional establishment. They provide an appropriately relaxed environment with excellent facilities. Our room was quiet, spacious and spotless. The bed was comfortably firm. For those traveling by car, the ample parking in an enclosed courtyard is a rare bonus. Breakfast selections are prepared with care. Overall, the property and management deserve a five-star rating."

"We had a lovely few days at Dale House. Dominique is a wonderful host and a skilful chef. We had a memorable dinner one evening and our cooked breakfast each morning was a highlight. Dominique was also very accommodating with our dog which made all the difference. Dale House is located in a very quiet spot within the moors so if you appreciate the peacefulness this place is for you. "

"This was the cleanedt suite ive ever been in and we travel extensively for work. It was cosy and comfortable witha seperate seating area from the bedroom. The breakfast was wntiful avross the road, well cooked and lots of options. Couldnt have asked for anywhere better than this experience."

"Jo, the host who are very nice and friendly. Location is in the town centre, few minutes walk from the train station. The property is aged, but Jo maintain everything in good condition and tidy. The breakfast is good also. Compare the prices with the neighborhood, I will say it's value for money."

"Lovely place, very nice hosts who cannot do enough to make your stay a pleasant one! Very comfortable bed, breakfast was excellent and served hot. My only one critique, which is minor. The television in the room is much to small. That said I would return without hesitation. "

"Really nice hotel, spa was nice. The suites could use some upgrades (the windows) there was water between the glass panels so the view couldn’t be enjoyed as much as it should have been. Especially when the heat was on full as it was -3 and it was just cloudy window panes. "

Lovely two night break

"The hotel is situated perfectly to walk around Bowness. It was really clean and our room whilst elements are older / a bit dated, looked like had not long been redecorated so felt lovely. Breakfast was brought to your table, with a view of the lakes. Can’t fault it. Would go again. "

Would Stay Again.

"We stayed here because it was Dog friendly. Overall, I would say we had an excellent stay. The hotel is true to its description of Dog friendly, although tou can’t eat in the restaurant with them (which is reasonable). There were a lot of families with dogs and they were made very welcome. The bar was also child friendly with toys and games available. The only thing that stopped me giving 5 stars was that one of us is a vegetarian and there were no items available from the tapas menu, which was disappointing and reduced the options available. "
