An older building with "character", which I enjoy but others may not. Would not be good if you have mobility issues: lots of stairs (even in the rooms), small elevator, baths difficult to enter/exit. Internet OK but spotty in some locations. Walls are fairly thin (you can hear your neighbors talking) but I've never heard the pub patrons, even...

"The staff members were so amazingly helpful and friendly. As a solo traveler with a cane I struggle with stairs and excessive walking but the staff helped me to my room when I arrived and Katen even helped we all the way to the train platform across the way when I left. While this location is remote the charm and guality mke it a beautiful destination stay and the food was to die for. I had one minor issue in my room and they resolved it while I was out so 5/5"

"Downstairs great, restaurant, breakfast, bar, especially the service and welcime though. Uostaurs us tired, dribbly shower, radiators don't seem to work (there is an oil heater supplied), caroet a bit manky and old. Needs some investment to bring the place back. For the centre of Knutsford this was all quite a surprise... "
