"I always enjoy staying here - nice location, friendly staff, quirky rooms, nice pub downstairs. Be warned that this is not a standard, generic hotel! An older building with "character", which I enjoy but others may not. Would not be good if you have mobility issues: lots of stairs (even in the rooms), small elevator, baths difficult to enter/exit. Internet OK but spotty in some locations. Walls are fairly thin (you can hear your neighbors talking) but I've never heard the pub patrons, even...

"Incredible service from the proprietor. When we arrived, the car park was full as there was a large wedding taking place. He moved his own car so we could get parked and whilst we were there, he and his team couldn’t have been more welcoming. 100% recommend The Belmore and will certainly stay again."

"Had an amazing time! We had to leave early due to plans. Kayleigh arranged for us to have breakfast early which was fantastic! Breakfast staff were by very happy to serve us earlier than the official time. 10/10 "

"Lovely place, comfortable clean room and good breakfast. I didn’t eat in the restaurant / bar in the evening but it was packed and the food looked really good. I was welcomed at reception by a friendly helpful receptionist and the lady serving breakfast was also friendly and helpful. In all it was a really good experience and I will be returning. "

"The staff members were so amazingly helpful and friendly. As a solo traveler with a cane I struggle with stairs and excessive walking but the staff helped me to my room when I arrived and Katen even helped we all the way to the train platform across the way when I left. While this location is remote the charm and guality mke it a beautiful destination stay and the food was to die for. I had one minor issue in my room and they resolved it while I was out so 5/5"

"A lot bigger than i realised. It was a great suprise. Good size room, big shower room. "Clean warm friendly. Restaurant and pub downstairs didnt notice it being any noisy upstairs in the room. Bed was comfortable four poster. Room spacious and tall with large window viewing street below and losehill opposite worth a walk along with mam tor at the other end. Free car park opposite the hotel."

"Warm and very clean accommadation, exvellent breakfast, staff so helpful . In the room maybe some different teas (mint camomile etc ) I bring my own as I dont bring breakfast tea, but I'm just being picky. Crrtainly reccomend staying her. "

"The one night stay was perfect, no complaints at all, bed is a super king bed, very comfortable, bathroom is really nice as well. Overall worth a stay here even just for one night or however long you wish to. The staff were friendly at all times and made us feel welcome. Will come back again"
