The location was ideal—central and easily walkable into the heart of York, which made exploring the city a breeze. "I had a wonderful stay at York Indigo hotel. The design of the rooms was great, the bed was comfortable and had an enjoyable stay. The only down fall with the room was the lid on the towel and hearing people walk above, but nothing that was a show stopper. The best part of the stay was how extremely help the staff was, especially Sam for providing local tips and places to checkout. I truly enjoyed the gate coffee shop Sam recommended. Thank you! "

"I loved how clean and modern it was, room was in excellent condition. The only downside was in check in on line, we had booked an executive room with breakfast all included in the price. But when we went to check in it asked us to upgrade to breakfast for an extra £14 each ( it was already included) also for an extra amount as well we could do a late checkout but when i went to the desk the excutive room already has this included in the price. We could have ended up paying more for what was already covered. "

"Stayex for one night to attend an event- checked in online in advance, arrived a little early so our room was not ready, however, the hotel saved our bag and we went to sit in the bar which wS supposed to open at 2pm. However, we waited and the bar did not open so we went next door and when we turned up at 3 pm there was a big queue. We collected our key and bag and went to our room, which was lovely and big, with a big bathroom including a bath and shower over the bath. No complaints, we did not have breakfast as we thought it was too expensive, £36 for both of us on a discount, so cannot comment on the food. "
