"Just a 5 minute walk to the train station although they also have a small shuttle to pick you up or drop you off (which helps if you have much luggage). There is a grocery store just 2 minute walk as well and it’s about 10 minutes to old town area. The shuttle train to the viewpoint for the Matterhorn is just across the street from the train station. Accommodations, food, and staff were terrific."

"Quiet area. Rooms are quite small, but that's expected in an older European hotel. Had a nice powerful shower stay! You check in at a neighboring hotel and walk a few meters to the Alpina. There is a nice large lounge area where you can also sure your luggage if needed. We had a small chain to keep ours secured, but I don't think it was necessary. I would stay here again."

"Large room, great that it offered amenities such as kettle and a fridge. Breakfast was basic but fine. Great location and view from patio was amazing. Beds were fine but the pillow was a bit flat. Staff were nice. Overall happy with the stay. "

"up to standard 4 full star hotel which is quite hard to find in Europe and its value for money with its full service and facilities in the hotel. Wide selection of breakfast, many different fruits, pastry and even rice! Free mini bar with softdrinks and beer and fruits too. complimentary shuttle on arrival and departure to the station, very efficient. the room is very new and clean. good restaurant and lounge. Offer cakes, coffee and tea during tea time for all hotel guests. very recommend and will stay there again."
