"The room was spacious and well-designed. The area was very safe, modern, with lof of dining and shopping options nearby. Gathersburg is very convenient to stay for a visit to DC because you can take a train to DC every day (From ShadyGrove station). We visited DC Saturday and Sunday, so the parking at the station was free and the train ticket was very low. "
