I booked a stay at Arlo Hotel in DC through Expedia, and while the hotel has potential, my experience left much to be desired.
The positives: The hotel is new, the rooms are very clean, and the design is modern and appealing.
The negatives: The billing process was chaotic. I noticed several incorrect and unexplained charges. The back-and-forth communication to resolve these issues was exhausting, and while the hotel admitted errors, it shouldn’t take this much effort to get clarity. While Expedia might have contributed to some of the miscommunication, the primary issue lies with the hotel’s billing and customer service processes.
The hotel might improve with time, but I can’t recommend staying here in the near future. I won’t be returning for my next trip.
