"A convenient place to stay, just a short walk from the train station. The room was nicely decorated and although advertised as cosy, it was fairly spacious. The bed was comfortable and more than sufficient amenities for a few nights stay. The bathroom could’ve been cleaner and the shower wasn’t very hot or powerful. "This was a perfect get away , so peaceful . We stayed in stable 1 , two adults and our dog. Lovely comfy beds and pillows, duvet. Enough room for shorter stay. Everything was catered for . We had a lovely fire pit and BBQ outside the stable which we used . Views are amazing . Lovely pub a short walk down the road called the Punch Bowl , lovely food, wines, staff were so friendly . "No better place for a relaxing time. Nicely located for a trip into the lakes if required. Extremely clean and Mark very helpful with good communication and doing all he could for us. Only negative it says hot tub which we wrongly assumed would be at the cabin - however I assume he is referring to the jacuzzi in the swimming area and I feel this should be highlighted. The lodge is awesome and communication with Margaret the host is incredible, she responded to every email I sent asking questions about the area and generously offered us an extra night as we had to cancel our other stay due to ill health. "Great place to stay for a break, the caravan layout was ideal and the kitchen had all the facilities needed to cook meals etc., Having a shower/toilet and a separate toilet makes this property ideal for families. Cleanliness was of a very good standard and quality bedding provided. The location was quiet but within a few miles of towns and local pubs and eateries if you wanted to go off site. I would stay again."

"Large rooms on single level and a modern cabin were a welcome change from tiny cottages. The uncleaned toilet was the only negative. The trailer park was in a beautiful setting and excellent location. The facilities were good, but, the restaurant was poor."

"We enjoy our stays at Thurnham Hall. There was a problem with hotwater supply to our block, we were kept fully informed, given alternative showering option etc. 'It' happens, we judge it on how its handled, and it was handled well. "

Great hotel

"We stayed for two nights, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was very nice with everything that you could need, great tea tray, lovely toiletries etc. very comfortable bed, good lighting and a nice hot shower. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. Plenty of parking too and in a great location for walking to both Bowness and Windermere. We would definitely stay here again. The only negative issue was a thoughtless guest on our final night who played the TV very loudly and had no regard for other guests."

Stunning place, room was amazing!

"The room was unbelievable and the view stunning! Had the most amazing time celebrating my birthday and felt extra special with a glass of Prosecco when we arrived and birthday card in the room. The staff were also really lovely and restaurants food was delish!"
