"This hotel is close to JR lines and metro subway. It’s an old town so doesn’t have escalator or elevator from the station. Can take taxi to the hotel at an affordable price from Tabata station(JR) or Nish-Nippori(subway). Overall, spacious and a great city view from the hotel."

"About a 15-minute walk from Asakusa and a 10-minute walk to the nearest train station is where Palace Japan Hotel is located. The neighborhood is Showa era and on the quiet side. The hotel reminds me of an older motel (well maintained). The staff very welcoming and the bathrooms/showers clean! The room is dated, however it’s a room all to yourself and bonuses include: a small fridge, a large window, and television (stuck on Japanese language lol). Somewhat a walk from the main sites, however I’d stay again for the pluses! "

"I stayed here as this hotel is only an exit away from my brother, and I will absolutely stay here again. The hotel staff I dealt with spoke enough English for me to check in and understand the house rules, and the rooms themselves are small but comfy. The only thing I can find someone having an issue with could be the pillows as they're a little heavy. Note they do have a spa, but i was advised to make sure, since I have tattoos, that i was there either alone or just not go in at all. The hotel has a free soda fountain and alcohol that you have access to DAILY and breakfast in the morning. The slippers they offered in the rooms are uncomfortable so I'd pack your own. The location overall was perfect, as I was a 2 minute walk from two malls, a 3 min walk to the Kitasenju station, surrounded by food options, thrift store locations, and there's a DonQuijote and a Daiso that are walking distance. 10/10 would stay again "

"The walls were thin enough to hear someone’s cough. But I was still satisfied with their nice service."

"The location is excellent - as is the Happy Hour and the breakfast. Parking was downstairs and really convenient and for only 1500¥ a night. On the downside the rooms are quite cosy and so happy we are small people with small suitcases."
