Sigiriya Rock is about a 15 minute walk, whereas the main village area is a bit further. After visiting Sigiriya in the morning, we decided at the very last minute to catch the train from Habarana station (30 min drive from Sigiriya) to Colombo. "We loved staying at this hotel and found the setting and scenery very beautiful. the hotel consists of little bungalows inside the forest, right next to the lake. I would like to see more information about the hotel services to be more readily available in the rooms and public areas (ie spa & other facilities). the pool should be renovated and enlarged. Also the hotel should provide some paddle boats and kayaks for rent so that people can enjoy the beautiful lake."

The staff were great, and organised a safari trip for us, and a very early excursion to Lions Rock. "Great place to stay. Large spacious room and comfy large bed. Sana and his family are very welcoming and helpful. Great breakfast plus we were treated to a Sri Lankan breakfast too. Sana took us on a morning excursion where we were treated to all the local wildlife, which was such an unexpected surprise. Would highly recommend stating here. Thankyou all."

"Terrible conditions in the room. There were bugs, old towels and torn bed sheets. Did not have adequate hot water. Faucet controls were falling off. One of two air conditioners was not working. Pool was not usable, the water was cloudy. This property should be delisted from hotels.com. "

"Location - I am a regular guest at this property. It’s a bit of a heaven , utterly relaxing, surrounded by nature. The quality of my sleep always improves when staying at the property. The hosts, Supipi and Uthpala are super hosts. The meals are mostly made by Supipi herself and of course delicious. This time stayed for 6 days, could have easily stayed longer. Will definitely return."
