"Excellent location, safe and quiet, very well converted/maintained building with efficient lift. Great shower and spacious balcony. Extremely clean. Fridge provided but no kettle - recommend bringing travel kettle; there are tea/coffee making facilities, but they’re on the ground floor so not to hand in your room. Denise who runs it is very kind. I never worked out how to operate the safe but I’m sure she would have explained if I’d asked her!"

"This is an excellently-run hotel overlooking a great square in center of Lisbon. The staff are all wonderful, and the extensive breakfast buffet is also a great plus (even a pianist performs each morning during the buffet). There are many hotels in central Lisbon, but you will not regret staying here! We will definitely return to this hotel!"

"I stayed at number 20, apartment 24. The property is very clean and well furnished, a room with a very good double bed and a kitchen with a living room with a sofa that should be changed. The big problem is that vis a vis there are 2 bars that play very loud music in the evening until 4 in the morning, you can hear it in the bedroom even though it is on the opposite side of the street. I do not recommend this property for those who have difficulty falling asleep or are light sleepers :)"

"I have nothing but praise for the LR Guest House in Lisbon. Much preferred over a hotel! It is so much cozier, friendlier and has so many thoughtful touches. As a solo traveller, I was very well cared for from the moment I arrived. The environs were quite noisy after about 8 pm, but the earplugs provided worked like a charm! "My stay was okay, and I liked the location. But there were a few issues that were disappointing. First, check in began at 2 p.m., and I informed the host that I would arrive at 4:30 p.m. I received a message around 3:30 p.m. that the apartment was ready.
