It's up in the hills surrounded by farmland and barely touched by tourism, which we loved, but is rarely more than 30 minutes away from beaches, lagoons, old towns and farmers markets around the area. You could easily spend a whole week there. my only regret is I wish we had more time. The host was so helpful. She even helped us find a Private chef and a yoga instructor! "We enjoyed the property, but be prepared for lots of stairs. The property is well maintained but it is a tall and narrow building. Great views of the ocean. I think we had at least three days of green flashes! One very big drawback is that for some reason there are notices in every bathroom to NOT flush toilet paper. For someone not used to that, well... The Host should state that in the description, and honestly I don't know why this is an issue there I don't believe it is on a septic...

"Our family stayed here at the very end of our Portugal trip. This house was perfect for all of us ranging in age from 8 to 88. It is a lovely home and very clean. There is an elevator that helped the older people and of course the children loved the ping pong table and pool.
