"I’ve stayed here a few times, the room seems smaller than usual and the bathroom has been renovated to smaller. For example the toilet was not big enough to sit in the space given. If you’re a larger person you will definitely not fit. Cleaning behind the bedsides and under the bed is needed. Dropped a few items and moved them slightly was when I found super dusty areas. Staff especially the housekeeping are lovely and nice. Just the conditions of the hotel room needs improvement. Other than...

"We had a lovely visit to The Shire having moved away a few years ago. This hotel is in a great location for transport, shops, dining. The room was a good size, clean, double and single bed, amenities as advertised. Yes, the ensuite needs a revamp but this I feel is reflected in the price. Good Value, we will be back."

"A good central location. Very convenient for city, restaurants, etc. The apartment was great, with good bathroom and kitchen areas. The pool on the roof top was good, with one exception - the steps into the pool were broken and couldn't be used. Also, the air conditioning in the main room worked OK for that room, but the air didn't flow into the bedroom. Hence it was a little uncomfortable for sleeping."

The location was good, the kitchen sufficiently stocked (even ice trays); washing facilities included….bathroom is upstairs with bedroom,,,,,staff pleasant and helpful. Basic but nice, curtains blocked out most of the light, some road noise but not too much,,,,energetic urban vibe"
