"The staff were so helpful and kind and let us book in early because we were going to Download Festival. Each evening they would leave cleaning stuff out for us to us before going into the hotel covered in mud. Friendly and kind would use them again any time. "

"A lovely room with very spacious rainfall style shower. We are in the restaurant for an evening meal and breakfast. Both were lovely. The restaurant team were fabulous. Really friendly. Cleaning lady we passed on the hall was also friendly even though busy. We stayed for my cousin’s wedding which was held on site , so we even got to sneak away for a snooze. Wonderful occasion. "

"Food, excellent. Room, comfy, well furnished and spacious. Facilities, very good. Close to transport links and the nearby Matlock Bath. But the best thing of this stay were the staff. They looked after us and nothing was too much trouble. They were ran off their feet as they were looking after guests, dinner service and private functions. But did it extremely well. The owners should take heed of their staff’s dedication to running the hotel and reward them. "

"We arrived early and they allowed us to check in even though we didn’t pre-book it paid the early check in fee on the day. Room was very clean and bed was really comfortable staff were extremely polite and helpful will definitely stay again. "
