"Lovely hotel, comfortable beds, staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was buffet style and one of the nicest buffet breakfasts we have had, with a very good range of options. We also used the pool, poolside jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. There are towels in the spa area for you to use and shampoo, conditioner and shower wash in the changing room showers. There are also lockers which you use a PIN code to lock, so no change needed. We walked into Oxford along the Thames river path and enjoyed not being right in the centre. It took us around 15 minutes to get into Oxford and probably only 10 minutes to get the Christ College from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and the hotel had everything we needed, as well as enabling us to relax after a long day of sightseeing. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. "

"Room is amazing comfortable clean woll recommended but breakfast need to improve as take so long i have to wait 45 minutes. In the restaurants only 3 customers including myself order toast got toast but no butter? Asking for a cup of hot water got normal water. Will not recommended fot breakfast staff need to be more professional as talking and laughing too lound. "

"Love this Hotel. Recommend getting a cell on 'A block' upper levels. There's something very cool about exiting your room onto the prison landing with all the cells lined up. Very nicely appointed rooms, a nice bar and restaurant. Breakfast was top notch. Town and station are minutes away on foot. Be sure to check out the original cell on the ground floor or visit the old jail museum next door. "

"Lovely interior with spacious rooms with everything you could need for a 2 nights stay, only complaint is the noise outside the hotel if you leave the window open due to being on the high street but cant fault the hotel for that one. Would recommend to anyone staying in reading"
