"The rooms were really old and had a run down feeling. The rugs were visibly dirty, the towels were cleaned, but had stains, and there was no clear statement (that I saw) that there is no elevator. The fireplace suites are not worth the extra cost-- the couches are old and discolored, and the fireplace was a stove- no instructions on how to use, etc. I was disappointed."

"The lodge is nice and well located about 10 minute walk to Aspen city center. The staff is nice and it was easy to do a late check in with the codes. Breakfast is ok. The hotel and rooms are clean. The rooms we stayed in were old, the bathrooms in particular would need improvement. "
