"I would say that they did a very admirable job upgrading a rustic property. Check-in was very pleasant. Inside the room feels every bit a modern motel and then some. The floors are a very nice faux wood, the countertops are a faux granite, and the shower is tiled. The bed in the king room has a pillow top mattress, which isn't the tempur-pedic I'm used to, but still very comfortable. The two easy chairs are very comfortable, clean, and supportive. The toilet wasn't the best. It's very cramped...

"We loved our stay. The property is just as described. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was good. We visited Mesa Verde National Park and Arches National Park while staying at the Retro Inn. Staff gave us good suggestions. Visit the CO Welcome Center if you can. Full of good suggestions and maps."
