"Immediately before staying for 3 nights at La Loma, I had stayed at Monte Sagrado, and the price/quality ratio was vastly superior at La Loma. Aside from all the personal touches (including, for example, a personally tailored breakfast menu every morning), the inn had many surprises of charm that one rarely sees anymore, anywhere. For example, my room had a traditional pueblo-style fireplace (kiva) with firewood and matches that got replenished every morning. I travel a ton throughout the world...

"Brenda is a great host, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place is absolutely silent, which is good for the soul. We walked in the fresh snow to the edge of the gorge and it was beautiful. My only disappointment was that the fireplace in the suite is off limits due to some totally legitimate technical issues.
