"Our room was large enough to fit our bags and storage space for our clothes. Air conditioning in the room was well received. The bed was comfortable and the TV had a surprising number of English language channels. The shared bathroom was large and clean. The building was a little difficult to find initially as there's no large sign outside, but with the aid of Google Maps, we found it in a few minutes. "The place is close to the metro that goes everywhere in the city. There is a supermarket nearby, cafes and everything a tourist needs. The staff members are very nice. The room is in good condition. The balcony is very important for those who smoke."

"Stayed at the guest house for about 2 weeks. I have no complaints. It was very clean and quite. The property manager was there each day to clean. Even asked if there was anything he could do or if I needed anything to accommodate the stay. He also Spoke very good English which helped out. I may end up rebooking on my way back thru Portugal. It was a pleasure. Much Thanks! "

"Ein Gästehaus das keinerlei Service hat. Die Kaffeemaschine die dort für alle Gäste stand funktionierte nicht. Dort gibt es keinen Empfang also war niemand dort zu sehen um sich darum zu kümmern. Die Zimmer wurden nicht gemacht (4 Nächte). Die Gegend ist zwar nicht per se laut, aber es gab Gäste die auf der Dachterrasse laut redeten, da die Zimmer oben in der Nähe sind, war es dort laut. Die Dachterasse ist aber sehr gut, schöne Aussicht. Die Matratzen sind durchgelegen. Also, das Boa Nova ist...

"We thought the place was nice and our room was clean and comfortable."

"I would never use this place again. No instructions as to what to do on arrival, no lobby or reception area at street level. I was only able to get sorted because a resident was entering and assisted me in contacting the person supposedly on duty. The following things were advertised and non existent: Breakfast, terrace and in my case no television. Keep away "

"Good location for transport links and very friendly hosts. Spacious bedroom although bathroom was a little on the small side. Overall, very good value for money."

"Stayed in the bedroom with private bathroom. Bedroom also has a small balcony. We loved staying here would stay here again. Just a heads up, the shower is very small, but it worked for us. "

"Apartment was lovely, very clean, easy to access. A few minute walk to the Metro whuch made getting around easy. Communication with owner was easy, always responsive and kind. Would stay here again!"

" We purposely were looking for a property with old style charm rather than the typical big box/big brand modern hotels, and we definitely found that at Torel. We loved the property and our welcome host, Nicholas (I believe his name was), gave us one off the best welcome tours we have ever had. He’s a superstar. His energy, overview of the property, and overall service was amazing. One of his recommendations was the onsite Michelin restaurant, which he was able to get us into, and had an stunning culinary experience. When we return to Lisbon, we will absolutely stay again. The location, service, charm, and food was all perfect. We're very discerning travelers and was blown away with the experience. "
