"The Springs Resort offered everything I needed on my vacation. From the first moment we arrived we were treated like royalty with friendliness and pampering. The staff are exceptionally friendly and many remembered our names during our short 4-day stay. The multiple hot springs pools are drained and cleaned daily. The swim up bar was such fun. Our room was grand, with an amazing view of Arenal volcano. The housekeeping staff were very respectful and we enjoyed the nightly turn-down service. The Club Rio center has fun activities such as river tubing, kayaking, climbing wall and animals. The activities are mild and if you want more adventure, the concierge is happy to assist with booking adventures. The concierge, Silvia, was exceptionally responsive and helpful on many accounts. The food in the breakfast buffet was very good. Limited short order options. We enjoyed sushi several times and had a wonderful dinner in Las Ventanas where they are cultivating a growing wine list. We hope to return one day to experience this beautiful resort. "

"Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Hotel El Silencio del Campo in a family cabin. There was tons of space in the room, and lots of towels and amenities in the room. It rained our entire visit so we especially enjoyed using the thermal pools. The breakfast was nice though we would have liked a few more options to choose from. The highlight was the staff! While everyone from housekeeping to the serving staff was fantastic, we wanted to shout out Elio at the front reception who provided exceptional customer service. We would stay here again and would recommend to our friends and family."

"This place was INCREDIBLE. The views were stunning and there is a 15 minute walking trail that makes you feel like youre in the middle of the jungle. Staff was very friendly and the food at the restaurant delicious. The mineral pools were only have full but it was nice and were included in the stay. Id skip the more expensive resorts and go here for a quaint but still top teir cabin lodging experience. "

"This is more rustic than newer hotels in the area, but it makes up for it by larger than normal rooms with a desk, a large refrigerator, a water closet in addition to a bathroom with a double vanity and large walk-in shower. The price includes a full breakfast from 7 am - 9 am. There is a restaurant on-site but during my stay, it was only open the first night of my stay, Sunday evening. But I did get a delicious salad and cocktail delivered to my room that night. I was disappointed on the nights it was closed because I already had choices picked out. But there are restaurants that are close, even walkable, so that helped. I would definitely stay here again."

"The beauty and phenomenal amenities were only surpassed by the excellence and kindness of the staff! Pros: each room is oriented towards a breathtaking view of the Volcan Arenal so that, if you're so inclined, you can sit on your balcony from early morning until sunset enjoying the various moods of the mountain. The rooms are spacious and well apportioned with high vaulted ceilings, very comfortable beds, and many extra amenities (and spotlessly clean). Morning breakfast is nothing short of phenomenal with offerings for every taste served in the main dining room with 20 ft windows opening up to views of the volcano. The numerous pools and hot springs on the property were immaculately clean, not crowded and had plenty of relaxation areas. That said, the best part of the stay hands down was the staff. Professional, kind, extremely attentive and above all friendly, their efforts catapulted this stay into something so memorable! Cons: while a minor point, the restaurant needs some re-tooling in their menus for lunch and dinner as the fare is fairly pedestrian and to our palate, bland for Costa Rica. A better bet is the nightly BBQ offered by the pool- tons of good food and a wonderful atmosphere. Overall: having stayed at both Tabacon and Arenal Kioro, this is far and away the better of the two for value, excellence and location (it is much closer to the volcano than Tabacon).
