However the apartment block was in the middle of 2 building sites so we got woken up very early every single morning. We are backpacking and booked this as a nice treat and we were disappointed as it was so noisy all morning with banging and drilling. Location is near supermarkets, restaurants, bars, transportation, etc. Best beaches (Ipenema and Copacabana) The host and staff were very respectful and responsive. Several gyms near by.
