"Suwa Villa Arenal was an absolute gem—beautiful, cozy, and just the right mix of luxurious and down-to-earth. We were greeted with fresh coconut water (loved that touch!), and the whole vibe felt super thoughtful and well put together. The villa had everything we needed: a full shared kitchen, on-site laundry with Tide Pods, even little things like disposable razors. The only thing missing was lotion, but honestly, everything else was so complete it didn’t matter. The property only has six villas, so it feels intimate and peaceful. There's a jacuzzi and fire pit for guests, plus each room has its own little patio with chairs. I appreciated the organic and natural products used throughout ♥ Netflix was already logged in on the TV, and water in the minibar was free and restocked daily. It’s just a short walk (200 meters!) from the town with food, shops, and excursions—though Uber is insanely cheap if you're not feeling the walk. And I can’t forget the hosts—they were incredibly kind and welcoming. Suwa was perfect. Would absolutely stay again. ALSO I stayed at Baldi Hot Springs Resort, and honestly? Suwa Villa is 10x better. Baldi is great for a day pass to enjoy the springs, but the rooms there are pricey and not worth it."

"Our stay at Xandari Resort was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We missed our flight and arrived a day late, but they were extremely accommodating and helped us reschedule without any hassle — a huge relief after a stressful travel day. The food at the resort was amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. One of the standout experiences was discovering that they brew their own IPA, which was such a unique and memorable touch. The views from both our room and the dining area were breathtaking — lush greenery and sweeping landscapes that made every moment feel serene and special. Honestly, the pictures on Expedia don’t do it justice. The real experience far exceeds what you see online. They should definitely update them! Highly recommend Xandari to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with exceptional service, food, and scenery."

"Great location and atmosphere with friendly staff. Full use of kitchen...microwave, refrigerator, coffee, water station, and breakfast is made to serve. Patio is perfect to watch the clouds come in and out. Highly recommend!"

"This was my wife and I second trip to the La Fortuna area. Chachagua is a quaint town a little south and the resort was way off the beaten path in the middle of the rainforest. This was the first time for my mom and her best friend. Just off foot surgery and still a little sore/ swollen. The resort staff went overboard to accommodate her with a shower seat. Use of their wheelchair so she could get around when tired and just amazing every day. The food was top notch, free breakfast was awesome. My family would highly recommended a visit. If you have a chance to visit say hi to Anthony, Patricia, Gettchen with two t’s, Sofia, Lorenzo, Kevin, Pamela, Karen, Jonathan, Kristal, Maicol ( hope you catch some big fish) and Dennis. "Very cool Costa Rican jungle experience. Not the Hilton, but more than navigable and livable for travelers with a modicum of adventure in them. "

"Loved this hotel. Pretty centrally located only a $3 uber ride from the town center. We walked over to the North Fields coffee and chocolate tour which was only a few yards away from the hotel. The team was super responsive through WhatsApp to any issues we had. The rooms are so cute with a hot tub right on the patio. The regular rooms have two viewing areas with one facing the volcano, although the access to them is outside, so not ideal when it’s raining but like whatever it’s the jungle. We ended up getting upgraded to the villa which wow. It has a pool and we had a little frog jump in with us. I would definitely stay here again and bring some friends to really appreciate what the villa has to offer… "

"Our stay at Casa was wonderful. Everyone at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful. The grounds were gorgeous, there is a delightful nature trail on the property (where we spotted a sloth!), and my wife and I received a wonderful massage at the spa. The room was good and the beds very comfortable. Plus the included breakfast was great. We would definitely stay here again"
