"Casona La Recoleta is a wonderful place to stay at Cusco. My spouse became ill from the altitude sickness upon arrival. The staff immediate tested her blood oxygen level and offered an emergency oxygen tank to relieve her symptoms. My spouse kept on and off the oxygen without success of bringing her blood oxygen level up on her own. We ran out of the oxygen in the middle of the night, and the 24-hr onsite staff helped with another tank while I was trying to book a flight to get us down to Lima...

"Highly recommend this place. Vilma and her husband Ali really made us feel at home right from the beginning. This is more like a BnB than a hotel. Thanks to that the service provided is very personal. The room itself was very clean and has the basic essentials. But the biggest plus of this place is Vilma and Ali. "The place is close to the center. That is a nice thing. San Pedro Market is just around the corner. The staff was friendly but did not speak a lot of english and when we had to check out we where charged with 5% extra because of a credit card service charge. Not cool when you are out of cash because you are heading out of the country. "

"This was a nice little hotel on a small street near the old part of downtown Cusco. A family runs the hotel and were very friendly and accomodating to us during our stay. We enjoyed our breakfasts and conversing with family members at the front desk and lobby area. We would definitely stay there again given the opportunity."
