"Close to the train station which was good, but arriving late on a Saturday evening alone, I didn't feel massively safe walking from the station to the hotel on my own as there were a considerable number of intoxicated people getting off the train at Derby as well. "

What made our stay great was that everything in the room was working properly with a good level of upkeep.
