"Property was quite upmarket, but guests were not made to feel uneasy about this.My only quibble would be why they took a pending payment from my card on arrival, but then on checkout took the payment to settle our bill but the first payment was still pending on our bank account two days later. Who was holding that money in meantime."

"A hotel full of character with modern facilities. Limited hotel parking at extra cost, we got in early. Evening dining was great, high quality food in a pleasant restaurant. Room was pretty good but not great, all together reasonably priced. Very central to the market town of Ludlow, good shops, interesting area with a castle and walks. Recommended, we would stay again. "Love the hotel, the grounds lovely, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing was the tv had only four channels, no ITV or channel 4 Or 5. Would have been nice to have these later in the evening. "

"Lovely hotel, but a few hicups. Not normal tea on the tea tray, had to go down to reception for some. Room temperature we fould not controll . Breakfast was definitely not the best ive had at a mercury hotel. Very littel choice. No hash browns, bacon just left out under lights to long so it was hard. "

"Clean rooms, secure area. Thermostat a bit of a pain since it kept going back down to a prearranged temperature, and we were a bit too cool because of it. "

"Spotlessly clean room with very comfortable firm bed, nice bathroom with plenty of products and decent shower. The only downside with the shower was the lack of pressure but that is very minor nit picking. We ate in the restaurant with friends and all enjoyed a lovely meal. Breakfast the next morning was delicious and plenty of options. All in all it was a fabulous stay at the hotel."
