"Great cottage steps from the beach. Location was perfect! Size was perfect for our family of 4. More than enough space inside cottage and great front porch and back porch with dining table. Very clean and had everything you would need in the kitchen. Some things could have made the stay easier/better: not providing linens means a lot of extra things to pack; beds not the most comfortable; no curtains so bedrooms get very bright very early (not great for the littles). "

"We had a great stay at the Hammock Cottage. It was well equipped with everything we needed and more. I highly recommend this rental to anyone on a small family vacay. It was locates in a great area. "Despite Hurricane Debbie tagging along for most of our Nags Head vacation, we had a great stay at "Down South." Laurie was a fantastic host. Extremely helpful and thoughtful. The house and deck were actually more spacious than I was expecting, and easy to settle in to. "4pm is too late for check-in. Most people are driving and go directly to the property. I arrived at 3:30 and had to try to contact them so we could get in to use the restrooms. All of the voicemails were full and initially we gave up and left to find restrooms. I guess I could have tried to get an early check-in. Not a deal breaker though. Nice place and great location. Pool was clean. "

"This property was absolutely beautiful. My family did not want to leave. absolutely amazing location. we loved that the property was dog friendly as well! the owners were amazing with communication and even made a little card to welcome our dog to the house. The dog also had blankets and towels provided by the owners. I highly recommend this place!! The food nearby also was amazing. Thanks for a great stay! "
