"It was a very unique and pretty property but was adjacent to the caretakers, whose outside property was not kept picked up. The inside of the studio apartment was neat and tidy but not impeccably clean. Great views of the Arenal Volcano and the place had beautiful flowers and landscaping. You have to drive up a very long and rocky drive to get there- no problem in a SUV 4x4 though. They provided coffee and towels, some toiletries, but there were no washcloths provided. "Spacious accommodations and friendly host. Host was responsive and very helpful. Beautiful views but in the Lake Arenal area, which is quite secluded. There is one small, delicious restaurant 400 meters away, but not walkable. LaFortuna is approximately an hour drive, must have a car if staying here. It was a very pleasant stay, but not in the location listed."

"The villa has a great view of the lake and is extremely quiet. It’s secluded but still close to the main road and we felt like it was a safe area The directions provided by the owner are good but it is hard to find at night. The furniture, bedding and amenities are pretty old but we were not expecting 5 star. We loved Nuevo Arenal compared to the very touristy La Fortuna but there are of course more activities there. Overall very happy with the villa"

"It's hard to imagine a better location, view, and property. Simply amazing. I travel a lot for both pleasure and business. This is one of the best places I've stayed. Santiago greeted us at the Hotel Lago entrance and we followed him by car to the villa. Be aware that it's better to have your own vehicle since the walk from the hotel to the villa is quite long and not suitable for pedestrians. Overall, this villa made our Arenal experience muy Bien!"
