"The outside is definitely deceiving. The rooms on the inside are mostly updated. There are some things that could use a refresher, such as the bath tubs. The only thing I'd have to complain about is about when we arrived. It was 2 hrs prior to check in. The front desk clerk said there would be a early check in fee and almost ran my card through. "I was so pleasantly surprised by this Super 8. Historically this brand of hotel is a 1 star. It was definitely a 5 out of 5 for me. Clean, bright, awesome staff, very comfortable bed, good size room. My only complaint would be the shower chair, it was not stable or suitable fir a large handicapped person. I will always stay here when I’m in the area working. "

"We stayed here to visit my daughter at Penn State. We ended up having the best time and felt like we were on vacation in this very historic Mansion. The beds are so comfortable and the breakfast is homemade and delicious! When we arrived there was a cocktail hour where we met other PS parents. The managers are very friendly & will do anything to make your stay comfortable."
