"When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. We contacted the owner and the next day a chap arrived with an airbed. We requested that the sofa be replaced but that did not happen. "What an amazing hotel, very convenient. The room was super clean and comfortable, overlooking Keel sq. Breakfast was hearty, a great selection including freshly brewed coffee and juices. The staff on check-in and in restaurant were all very pleasant. I will definitely make this my go to hotel again when im back in the UK."

A very enjoyable visit

"This was our 3rd visit to Lumley Castle & it was just as great as previous ones. We wanted a relaxing break & it was exactly that. The staff were excellent & nothing was too much trouble. I do have one suggestion however regarding the bar menu. The library bar is a nice alternative to the restaurant especially if you just want a drink but we would have liked to enjoy some snacks to enjoy with our drinks but the only choices were pork scratchings & olives, no crisps or nuts. We also would have liked some ighter healthier meal choices eg. Caesar salad rather than the heavier choices of meat pie, burgers & fish n chips which were not our choice as the weather was very warm. The restaurant food however was excellent if a little pricey. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much & hope to return very soon. "

"Lovely hotel with big; clean rooms and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was great with a lot of choice and the pool and spa were excellent. All the staff who I met were very pleasant "

"Lovely done out property, all rooms are really spacious, clean and presentable, tvs in all rooms. Only 15 minutes from the centre and really quiet area to stay. Hosts are great for getting in touch with and offer a fair priced late checkout, we will definitely stay here again when coming back up :))) x"

"Good value for money, cheerful staff and a welcoming atmosphere. It was great that the room was serviced without being asked, a quality sadly lacking in a lot of places now. Brilliant value breakfast with lots of choice."
