Boringdon Hall Hotel and Spa

5.0 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (358)
"Not quite sure it meets 5 star standard. Room space is lovely, plush and beds super comfy. Bathroom quite basic but shampoo etc provided. Spa ok but could with refurb now as facilities dated. One if the steam rooms out of order. Large glass door smashed and awaiting repair. Loungers by pool were soggy and stank. Lifts up to the spa all out of order Breakfast was the highlight. Ok hotel but nothing special. "

Brightham House Boutique Bed & Breakfast

5.0 star property
8.0 out of 10, Very Good, (1)
"Lovely warm welcome from owners and their dogs. Enjoyed the quirky decor and excellent breakfast menu. Very comfortable bed. Attractive garden area. Nice touches included owners calling us by our first names, fresh milk in room each day and well stocked 'honesty' bar. Some aspects of the room were a little tired. "

Driftwood B&B

5.0 star property
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (28)
"Driftwood is rated as 5 star, and it is well deserved. The B&B was absolutely spotless and finished to a high standard. The room had all we needed with smart TV, coffee machine and very comfortable bed. The bathroom also was finished to a high standard and felt like you were in an expensive hotel. The real selling point for me was that this was one of the balcony rooms. The balcony was large and with probably one of the best views of the harbour and facing in the right direction for the...

Learn more about Stokenham

Venture to sights like Slapton Sands and South Devon as you discover Stokenham.

Hallsands Original description: Ruined cottages at Hall Sands, Stokenham This does not seem a sensible place to build cottages, but they were originally protected by a shingle beach. This was removed by the unscrupulous contractor for the Devonport Dockyard, who took away 500,000 tons of shingle. There were 37 fishermen's cottages, and they were demolished or damaged by a series of storms, the last cottage going in 1917. This photo was taken in 1992, so there might be even less of the ruins now.
