"Not quite sure it meets 5 star standard. Room space is lovely, plush and beds super comfy. Bathroom quite basic but shampoo etc provided. Spa ok but could with refurb now as facilities dated. One if the steam rooms out of order. Large glass door smashed and awaiting repair. Loungers by pool were soggy and stank. Lifts up to the spa all out of order Breakfast was the highlight. Ok hotel but nothing special. "

"Lovely warm welcome from owners and their dogs. Enjoyed the quirky decor and excellent breakfast menu. Very comfortable bed. Attractive garden area. Nice touches included owners calling us by our first names, fresh milk in room each day and well stocked 'honesty' bar. Some aspects of the room were a little tired. "

"Driftwood is rated as 5 star, and it is well deserved. The B&B was absolutely spotless and finished to a high standard. The room had all we needed with smart TV, coffee machine and very comfortable bed. The bathroom also was finished to a high standard and felt like you were in an expensive hotel. "We had a wonderful weekend and David and Tonny were the perfect hosts. Our room was spotless with lots of nice touches. Breakfast was without doubt 5 stars. We would have no hesitation recommending the Tynedale. "
