"First time staying at Mandarin Oriental in Shanghai, and what a great experience it was! Front desk staff, fast check in, consierge (forgot name of the Mr.) gave me all needed informations about the hotspots in city! Room, modern, clean and spacious with a nice view over the financial district and the river. Breakfast is diverse, Asian/European style. Gym area is superb, combined with 25m swimming pool, saunas, and massage facilities. Overall good value for the money! "

"Fantastic hotel, within a small shopping mall area. Good breakfast with free take away coffee. Walkable to the metro which was super easy to use and zipped us to anywhere we needed to go quickly. The area was perfect as it was so central to the main sites, had loads of shopping near by, coffee shops moments outside the hotel as well as restaurants and shops for drnks and snacks. "Excellent except our room too hot. Hotel HVAC not room specific. Management aware but unable to correct. At least they comped us breakfast! Hotel very clean. Good exercise room. Breakfast excellent. Hotel away from downtown. Ok for us as we rode metro. Very convenient. But if you want to be near action this is NOT your place. Probably not a good place for average tourist in Shanghai. But for people who know Shanghai or have business a perfect spot. "

"During the two nights we stayed there, every night about 20 or more influencers would show up along with their friends/assistants. They would have their pictures taken in the lobby, in the bar area with the Christmas tree, etc. They outnumbered guests who actually paid and stayed there. The hotel turned a blind eye to them. I find this experience very unpleasant and not compatible with the price we paid to stay there. "
