"Interior design of the hotel is superb - clearly a lot of thought (and money) invested in the revamp. The only let down was the shambolic bar service -35 minutes waiting for a drink order to appear. The spa is amazing (although the staff on the desk could smile a bit more). The outdoor/indoor thermal pool is sensational"

Quite noisy - we were on the 2nd floor but were still woken by the street cleaning truck. Don't book if you have any mobility or balance issue: from the hidden door step to the narrow, winding, carpeted stairs, the slip-and-trip opportunities are plentiful. There's no staff onsite but they sent me the access code and instructions in advance. I like that there's also a reception area on the ground floor where we could use before or after check in/out. "
