"Beautiful old historic hotel! 10-20 minute walk to everything we wanted to see and do. Staff so helpful and friendly. Unexpected room upgrade so we wouldn’t have to use stairs. Helpful with holding bags and getting us tickets to tulip farm. Nice to have complimentary water and soda in room. We didn’t want a big breakfast but probably would have been better than other options in area."

"Stay was amazing. Responding to Hotels.com survey after check in I commented that my room was very noisy as it fronted a street along the canal. Within a short time the duty customer service manager ( Mickey) contacted me and offered me an excellent alternative room on a higher floor that also had double glazing so achieving huge noise reduction. This understanding response was typical of the superb customer service in this hotel. As an owner of multiple businesses myself I am almost incredulous...

"GREAT place, near the art district. It's still a walk, but very nice to meander through the streets on your way to the Van Gogh Museum and that area. I took a bus from the airport that left me 2 blocks away. Good way to save a few bucks. Room clean, quiet at night. No complaints and would stay again. "

The room (junior suite) was fantastic and we wish we could have stayed for a few days (we were only there for a short night between flights). "I liked almost everything about this property. I had two issues. One, the glasses in the bathroom were glass. That is very unsafe because some of the time you are in the bathroom you are barefoot. If the glass fell, and it is not hard to see how that could happen, you would probably cut your foot. Two, the containers of shampoo, conditioner and bath gel in the shower were arranged in a way that it was difficult to get sufficient amounts out of the container, which was a nuisance."
