"There was a bloodstain on our bedsheets which we communicated to reception as soon as we saw it on the morning after our first sleep at around 8:30. Reception’s initial response was that we are very busy today so we will send someone before the end of the day. "This place was described as quirky in the listing and it was! But more charming than quirky. We loved it and our stay there. It’s very clean, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has all you need for a long stay. It’s also conveniently located in the village of Fordingbridge and close to many sites whether you travel north, south, east or west. The host could not be more friendly and helpful. I highly recommend it to anyone for a long or short stay."

"The room was large and generally comfortable but smelled stale - as if it had been closed up for a while. The bed was two singles zipped together and so very uncomfortable in the middle. The shower head was so disgusting we didn't have a shower and the tiles were cracked and coming away from the wall. The towels smelled musty and the toiletbrush was awful! One of the windows in the bedroom had swollen and so couldn't be closed properly."

"Lovely working mill in a small village. Sandra and Richard are great hosts and very knowledgable of the areas plus cook a great breakfast. Not in walking distance to any restaurants or pubs short taxi ride. Very close to the village of Fordingbridge where there are three pubs serving food plus a very nice Italian restaurant. The mill is very central for sight seeing and about half an hours drive to the coast, we had a lovely 3 day break and will return. "
