"If you can’t do the Belmond in Valle Segrado, this is the next best choice. Albiet an older property, the grounds are lovely and to our great delight an alpaca on site. Our only disappointment was the concierge’s service, as this trip to MP was all new for us and we found out later there is more to see around Valle Segrado which was strangely never mentioned/suggested. "Well, it doesn’t get much better than this. Staying in a converted 17th monastery in the heart of bustling Cusco. While the hotel is a refuge from the city it is close to all the sites. Meanwhile the service is impeccable and the food at the hotel restaurant delicious. Monasterio is among the very best places I have ever stayed."
