"This is a lovely country hotel, i stayed last weeknin a garden room. This week I chose a room in the Hotel itself which was great unfortunately the staff went home and left music playing in the Restaurant down below and this kept me awake ! The Management compensated me in the morning for the inconvenience which was good of them. The food was excellent and the ambience was great so I will definitely stay again ."

"Generally a decent stay but just a few points which were not right & so thus was the reason for not giving a glowing review. 1..the weather seal on the edge of the external door had come away for 25 cm & just was getting worse. 2..no bulb was present in the living area floor lamp. 3..no washing up liquid was in the cupboard & so resulted in us needing to purchase our own. "Excellent self catering accommodation in superb location. Luxurious throughout. Quality beds and bedding ensuring a comfortable nights sleep. The house is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Whitby and the harbour. The unfortunate thing was that we were only there for two nights. It would have been nice to stay longer. I would highly recommend this property. "
