"Nice comfortable stay. Breakfast was average no complaints. Room was comfortable and location was great. Although good for us a disability would make this difficult as the hotel is at the top of a steep hill. But overall it was really nice for us."

"Stayed for 2 very comfortable nights. Hotel is clean with very good staff. The room was spacious and well equipped. The bathroom really good too. Heating worked well and was easily controlled. The restaurant was very reasonably priced with good service. The breakfast was really good too. The first morning it was almost cold! But much better on the Friday morning. Parking very convenient too I would recommend this to others and would happily stay here again. "

"The service needs improvement. We may be unlucky been served by a by a new employee ( I hope it was just a new employee or an untrained one). I ordered a drink a the bar and I actually explained to the lady how to do it - it was just an Apperoll spritz- nothing fancy). On the dinner , after we ordered, after 15 minutes, she came back asking us if we want to order something. "this is our 4th stay at Rothay and it remains one of our favourites in the lakes. in winter it’s great to cosy up after a long walk in the garden spa, and the rooms and ambience is really comfortable without any pretentious swagger for which some of the other hotels in the area would charge you £100 per night more. breakfast is good quality and staff are friendly and efficient "
