"Arrived over an hour before standard check-in and room was ready. Lovely, large room in a cottage by the river with free parking. Staff Lovely & friendly. Got back just before 11pm and was able to get more milk for a late brew. Only grumble, not enough milk left in the first place. Loved our Eggs Royale for breakfast. 11am check out is just right. Would reccomend."

My only adverse comment would be the relative positions of the accomodation block(s) and the pub/restaurant, umbrellas are provided for the journey, should it be raining, even during good weather, there are steps to negotiate and you leave a warm building experience outdoor temperatures then enter...

"The Fence Gate Lodge was great for an overnight stay. We stayed in the junior suite which was incredibly spacious and comfortable. The bathroom facilities, rain shower, roll top bath, were nice features. The breakfast was pleasant, we only ate continental but the cooked breakfast that other people were having looked nice.
